Can't help you with the introduction, I'm afraid.
But my oh my, how familiar such sentiments are beginning to feel...
Not to mention widespread - if the sudden proliferation of media reports on this point are anything to go by.

Very late comment, but I knew her slightly, she was an AC at my firm...(I suppose it would be naughty to name the firm?!) the letter caused quite a reaction, let's say!
